The Joseph Haskins, Jr. Center for Community and Economic Development was founded in 2017 to serve as a local commercial and social hub for the communities that we serve. The Center also serves as a home for the Harbor CDC’s activities, including the following.

Commercial Hub and Community Center

The Joseph Haskins, Jr. Center for Community and Economic Development serves as a commercial hub and community center. We and our resident businesses and organizations host events and gatherings on a daily basis.

Residency Program

The Haskins Center offers private office and shared co-working spaces. Resident businesses and organizations benefit from a range of technical assistance services and on-site amenities.

Speaker Series

Reach out to learn more about our monthly Speaker Series events, featuring distinguished national business leaders.

Financial Literacy Training

The Harbor CDC and its affiliates and resident organizations and businesses host financial literacy training events, meetings, and workshops.

Supporting Local Arts

The Harbor CDC supports community engagements to protect and develop safe artist spaces. We also maintain a rotating exhibit of curated local art and host quarterly Artist Reception events.

Events Space

We rent out our space for mission-aligned events.
